Edgewood UMC Wedding Policies, Fees, and Information 

1. To request and reserve a date contact the church office and fill out the required form to request the date. A $50 deposit is required to hold the date. 
2. Rehearsals are usually scheduled the night before the wedding. Other times may be scheduled if needed.
3. Rev. Cody Schuler is the pastor under appointment to Edgewood Church and is responsible for all weddings. If you choose other clergy to participate or perform the service, they must contact him to gain permission and coordinate details. (Church office contact info above.)
4. Karen Morrison is Edgewood’s official organist for all weddings. If an organist other than Mrs. Morrison is playing, she must be contacted to coordinate use of the organ.
5. Small candelabras are provided, candles are not provided.
6. Decorations are allowed, however no tape, tacks, or nails are allowed.
7. Our sanctuary holds approximately 200 people and is not air-conditioned.
8. Edgewood Church is non-smoking. Also, no alcohol or illegal drugs are allowed on church premises.
9. If any member of the wedding party or guests is under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs at the wedding party or rehearsal, they will be asked to leave.
10. If the bride or groom is under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs on the day of the wedding, the wedding will be cancelled.
11. A Christian wedding is primarily a service of Christian worship and therefore flash photography is prohibited.
12. Scheduling conflicts may occur, particularly during busy church seasons. Church activities and weddings of members are given scheduling priority.
13. The United Methodist Women are available to serve receptions. (Additional fees.)
